OUR FABRIC

At Snug Organics, our fabric comes from a premier source for certified organic cotton. Our organic cotton fabric certification is provided at a style and lot specific level to ensure that the certification is exact all the way back to the organic cotton fiber bale certificate number.

ORGANIC COTTON YARN CERTIFICATION

Yarn used in the production of our organic cotton fabric is certified as 100% organic cotton by the Texas Department of Agriculture, Control Union, GOTS or other qualified accredited certifying bodies. This yarn vendor can produce traceability of their yarn from the organic cotton fiber bale number to the finished yarn size and lot number that is purchased. Furthermore, the yarn spinner is certified to the Global Organic Textile Standards.

ORGANIC COTTON FABRIC PRODUCTION CERTIFICATION

Traceability can be produced from the yarn purchased to the finished fabric style and lot number that is produced. Fabric is processed in accordance with the American Organic Standards.

OUR ZIPPERS:

YKK certifies that the products manufactured by YKK comply with requirements for lead content found in the CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act).

YKK will also continue their extensive research for materials and technologies that allow them to keep their products free from anything that is toxic to human health and to the environment.

As the leading quality manufacturer of Zippers, Snaps & Buttons and Plastic Notions, YKK is well aware of these requirements and has taken the following steps to assure customers that all YKK products used in children’s products will meet the limits posted by the CPSIA:

LEAD CONTENT: YKK currently meets 90 ppm (parts per million) of lead on all surface treatments and 200 ppm of lead in all substrates. Also, YKK is aggressively moving to meet the lead content in substrate requirement of 100 ppm level by the middle of 2009.  At this time of uncertainty, YKK would like to reassure they will continue to offer safe and secure products through strong quality assurance processes and YKK controlled manufacturing.
