Organic Baby Clothes

We believe in creating organic baby clothes and organic baby bedding that reflect the beauty and simplicity of your child. Our philosophy is to provide a pure and healthy product for pristine babies and toddlers and to produce it in an environmentally and socially responsible way. We hope that setting this example for our children will plant the seeds for a strong eco-conscious generation. Our mission is to reduce consumption and encourage reuse by creating unisex designs that are multifunctional and can be passed on. We use only certified organic cotton, grown using sustainable farming and fair trade practices. Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, we understand the importance of keeping babies and toddlers warm and cozy. As fall approaches and the frigid temperatures of winter set in, baby sleepwear made of fine cotton jersey just doesn’t do the trick, especially when doctors and specialists do not recommend using blankets. In Denver, March and April bring some of our most spectacular blizzards, which means Snug Sherpa Sleepers can end up being necessary seven months or more of the year. We have confidence in small businesses and small carbon footprints.  We encourage you to use your purchasing power to support the change that you wish to see in the world. We have been consistently committed to this mission from the beginning and were built on this foundation. Being a web based small business, we use minimal packaging and shipping materials that are exclusively recyclable and biodegradable.

COMMITMENT TO ORGANIC SLEEP SOLUTIONS

Snug Organics was formed as a response to the need for alternative toddler and baby clothing, especially pajamas. When personally searching for sleepwear for our infants, we were only able to find overly decorated synthetics that were poor quality.  Also, they were covered in toxic flame-retardant chemicals or large amounts of the dangerous pesticides used to grow conventional cotton. Knowing that our babies would spend two-thirds of their day in a sleeper, sometimes all day, we wanted them to be safe and warm when they weren’t in our arms. Children possess an effortless glow that simple natural clothing enhances. Our inspiration for these organic baby clothes was found in the attics of our parents, left over from past generations of babies, before our culture’s need to overdecorate and accessorize our children in cartoon character clouding. Also, it was before our government required toxic chemicals to cover baby clothes and before farmers sprayed their cotton crops with overwhelming amounts of pesticides.

To exclusively dress your child in organic baby clothes and outfit their nurseries with organic baby bedding can be more expensive. But by making a commitment to organic pajamas and bedding, at least 60% of their day will be spent in organics.  The investment becomes minimal when looking at the harmful effects of flame retardants, synthetics, and pesticides. Organic baby clothes last longer and can be used for more than one child. Your baby is worth the safety, comfort and natural simplicity that organics provide. Your baby will sleep better and so will you.

REDUCE AND REUSE

We think that comfortable, modest, straightforward design is a good thing. Our sleepers are vanilla, but they’re anything but ordinary. The vanilla color that comes from naturally dye-less organic cotton carries a clean uncomplicated elegance. Design is about form and function and to achieve maximum function our products are unisex promoting the utmost use over time. The quality and durability of our organic baby clothes and bedding will enable you to pass them along to siblings, cousins and friends. Make your investment last beyond one child. Reduce consumption and reuse what you have. This supports our planet, our pocketbooks and our children.

A PARADIGM SHIFT

For many, going organic is a paradigm shift. Eating organic is often the first step in this important transition. However, making the broader shift and incorporating organics into all aspects of our lives is imperative for our bodies, earth, air, water and soil. Chemicals used to grow conventional cotton and develop synthetic fabrics affect developing fetuses and babies the most. Giving birth and raising children is an experience you want to enjoy and feel good about. Surround your children in baby clothes made with a wholesome natural fiber that is full of life.

We feature natural apparel made locally in Colorado from the finest 100% certified organic fabrics.
